This question is not a global concern but very important to me at this moment. My husband and I just purchased a 2004 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 40.3 and we are trying to think of a name for the boat. I am hoping for a few suggestions. The boat was preowned so we will have to go through a renaming ceremony. Our last boat, an Ericson 32-200, was named Constellation. We owned that boat since 1989 and have enjoyed many seasons sailing on Lake St. Clair, Lake Huron, Lake Michigan, Lake Erie and the North Channel. Before purchasing the boat we had picked out Paz y Amor (Peace and Love) but after buying a French boat we are now reconsidering. Looking up boat terms, I noticed aweigh in a list of nautical terms and suggested it for the name but my husband was not too keen on that name. He has mentioned a few, but the two that I like so far are Dreamtime and Soul Mate. Another friend that I work with suggested le bateau (the boat) but we eliminated that choice. I am hoping for some suggestions.
